A Sense of Place
The idea of entropy has intrigued me for years. I’m attracted to the transformations that take place with time and weather: rust and patinas, fragments and changing shapes that occur with deterioration. In photographing ordinary places in my everyday world, I found relationships as well as incongruities and whimsy in juxtaposing images of mundane aspects of the constructed and natural worlds as they are altered by time.
