Small Works
I begin with a color layer or an image, and respond to each added element, layering and scraping until a piece feels complete. These mixed media works — paintings on 5” x 5” canvases or photo transfers on 4” x 4” panels — incorporate pieces of my photographs, old drawings, sketchbook entries, and snippets of text.
